On Mission: Make Room
On Mission: Make Room
Verse of the Week
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” - Proverbs 16:3
Quick Thought
Last week, our family shared a house with another family on vacation. With 7 kids and 4 adults, it was loud, it was full, and sometimes chaotic. But even in the craziness, we made space to connect and have fun—nights staying up late playing card games, shared laughs, and moments that mattered.
It got me thinking: we (at least I do) often wait for the perfect moment to spend time with Jesus—quiet house, coffee in hand, no distractions. But life rarely gives us that. What if we made room for Him in the chaos, the same way we make space for a friend?
Challenge:
Proverbs 16:3 doesn’t say, “Get your life perfectly together and then commit it to the Lord.” It says, “Commit whatever you do.” That means the messy, busy, noisy parts, too.
You don’t have to wait for peace and quiet to be with Jesus. Invite Him into the middle of real life. Remember Proverbs 18:24 says that we have a God that sticks closer than a brother. Don't let the craziness of life make you forget to spend time with your closest friend. Invite him into it!
Have a blessed week!
